"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" - Nelson Mandela
Our baby unit offers a warm and welcoming space for little ones to explore, with a variety of resources and materials accessible to the babies at all times. We feel it is paramount that children feel safe and secure within their environment, therefore we operate a highly effective key person system. Each baby is assigned a 'key person' who ultimately takes responsibility for the learning and development of the individual child. Our baby room offers a caring and nurturing setting for babies from 6 weeks old, and whilst we have a daily routine in place, this can be easily adapted to cater for each baby’s individual needs, whilst still providing a familiar and stimulating environment.
We provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from experienced and fully qualified staff. Our 2-3 year olds have their very own outside classroom, where they learn and play.
On Monday mornings we are joined by Miss Diane, a dance teacher who comes into nursery and teaches a morning dance class with all of the children.
We also go to Twiggy's soft play on Tuesday mornings. This however is at an extra cost of £3.00 which is payable on a Tuesday morning before the session.
We have a stimulating and flexible environment encouraging all children to access our seven areas of learning. Children also access the outdoor area throughout the day.
Each child has a Key Person who will be responsible for your child’s welfare. They will liaise with parents / carers on a daily basis and keep records of your child’s development through observations and assessments covering all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We are very fortunate to be able to have two pre school rooms so that children can really flourish and we can focus on their skills in readiness for school. We have experienced teachers within our nursery who fully understand the transition process to school and how important it is to have confident and resilient children. We offer an inspiring, vibrant and well-organised learning environment that arouses curiosity and interest in learning and development. Our aim is to prepare children for their transition to school, skilfully supporting children's learning and development at this crucial time.
The classroom is set up in distinct learning areas in which the children all contribute in developing, maintaining and enhancing their knowledge and skills.
This flexible provision offers challenging and appropriate play experiences which support children in being confident and capable learners whilst embracing their individual needs via unique child planning. We have an extensive outdoor provision, and we encourage our children to 'free flow' between indoors and outdoors as they wish.
Again, the children access weekly Dance lessons with Miss Diane and have the opportunity to visit soft play on a Tuesday. Furthermore, our pre school children have the opportunity to access weekly forest school and swimming sessions.
Our Out of School Club is a modern, out of school facility that offers sessional childcare before and after school and during school holidays.
Our aim is to encourage children to develop to their full potential through positive social, emotional, physical and intellectual experiences. We provide a secure, stimulating environment that is specifically geared towards the needs of the children with working parents. A variety of activities are continuously available to the children and the children are also given the opportunity to relax, read or catch up on homework in a quiet area.
